"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the
only thing that ever has.”
- Margaret Mead
The Association of Haitian Educators of Dade has been in existence since 1989. It was founded because of the need for an organization capable of championing the educational rights of the Haitian community. Today, the mission remains the same. It is true that the Haitian community has registered significant educational, economic, political and social milestones; however, there is still a great number of challenges ahead. For this reason, the members of AHED are committed to safeguarding the education rights earned by this community. It is this relentless pursuit of systematic improvements in the quality of education delivered to the students of this community that continues to energize us.
