Magda Prophete

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Magda moved to Brooklyn, New York at an early age. She is a graduate of Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School. Magda holds a BA in Sociology from Brooklyn College. She earned a Masters in Bilingual Education from Long Island University. Magda was an elementary school teacher in Brooklyn, New York, for over thirty four years. She previously served on AHED’s Executive Board as Treasurer
